About the owners

Hi. We live in England with our two boys and our pet chickens, Mary and Mavis. We both work and our Italian home is our escape from the pressures of modern living! Purchased in 2005, the restoration and rebuilding has been a labour of love. We now spend most of our holidays in Italy, having fallen in love with the country, its food and people and where we have made many friends.

Why we chose this location

We simply fell in love with this part of Italy because it is such a well kept secret and yet it is so typically Italian. What ultimately sold the property to us were the stunning views - it's a unique location that never fails to impress visitors. It simply has the 'wow' factor. The area surrounding San Ginesio is text book Italy, sheep bells and church bells, old men in coffee bars, vegetable vans selling local produce, hot, lazy days and siestas, simple, delicious food, smart shops, opera, beautiful people, bent old ladies leaving church, ice creams late at night, star studded skies, cypress trees on a hill, vines, olive trees and barking dogs, crickets, and sunflowers. Paradiso!

What’s unique about our property

What sets the villa apart from many other properties is the connected pool house with its two large ensuite bedrooms. It’s perfect for a second family. We have been on many holidays with other families and have often wished for a bit of private space – especially early morning and evening when the kids start to kick off! We have paid a lot of attention to detail, even down to the extremely high quality linen and pillows. A comfortable bed is so important! The local farmers say our location is "paradiso", meaning heaven. We can't argue with that. It is simply stunning. However, the village of San Ginesio is less than 10 minutes away meaning we can be in the piazza eating delicious ice creams, watching the world go by in no time at all.
