We keep coming back!

Sally and families, Surrey UK, 2011

“We returned to Casa Tranquilla in August and yet again it surpassed all expectations! The villa is amazing – very comfortable, clean and has everything you could possibly want. We really appreciated having both the main house and pool house, giving each family privacy and space when needed.

The beautiful 10m x 5m pool is very welcome on the long hot days and the views from it are just sensational. There are plenty of places to sit and eat in the shade and the local farmer even tended to the vegetable garden so we always had fresh produce.

With the ability to walk anywhere you want directly from the villa, you can get a true taste of Italy with lots of photo opportunities! The local village is only a few minutes drive away and has brilliant restaurants (best pizza ever!) ... as well as shops which stock anything you could possibly need if you are cooking at home – especially the pasta which is so yummy!!

I recommend the villa for anyone looking for a true taste of Italy, combined with all the comforts of home. We look forward to going back again next year!”

a little piece of heaven

Jo and family, Dublin Ireland, 2011

“Myself and my family recently stayed at Casa Tranquilla one of the most luxurious villas we have experienced in all our years of traveling. The area is so peaceful with spectacular views.

We were greeted on arrival by a local Italian family who made sure our stay was hassle free. The location of the villa is close to San Ginesio a beautiful small town in Italy that was quoted best town in the region. We would highly recommend this villa and we certainly will be back!”

Wonderful two weeks at Casa Tranquilla

Pekka and families, Tampere Finland, 2011

“We (parents and three children) spent wonderful two weeks at Casa Tranquilla in June 2011. The house was just as described, perfect for us. We were well taken care of even before our holiday. The owner sent us a lot of information about the villa and surroundings. We really felt welcome!

We specially enjoyed the pool area and the views from the property. Italy as it's best. The nearby village, San Ginesio, is a great place to have your morning coffee or late night pizza or just to enjoy the atmosphere without too many tourists. We made also quite a many excursions to the other villages nearby. And it was always so nice to return to Casa Tranquilla and just relax after a "hard" day.

We would definitely recommend this villa to anybody who wants to enjoy Italian countryside and appreciates high-standard and cosy accommodation.”

Another lovely stay at Casa Tranquilla

Evie and family, London UK, 2011

“This was our 2nd trip to the house - last year we stayed for one week - this year for two - so yes for us - an adult family wanting a quiet holiday - it's perfect. It is exactly as described on the website - but the views have to be seen to be believed! They are for us what makes this house so special.

The pool area is lovely with various seating areas & some shade under the 'sail'. The table in the corner - perfect for that early evening glass of wine, watching the sun go down & drinking in that glorious view! The house is very well equipped and maintained with clear instructions for everything - including the bread maker - FAB. Furnishings are comfortable - a real 'home from home feel' - a selection of games/books for when the rain comes! There are vegetables & herbs which you can help yourself to and dine under the beautiful loggia - surrounded by lavender & some bees - but they didn't bother us.

The farmer and his wife who live just up the road are delightful, so give them a wave as you pass. The area is unspoilt countryside - mainly agricultural farming land - and there are lots of pretty villages to visit including San Ginesio - only a 10 min drive away. Here you will find a few restaurants/bars/gelateria.

The owner provides excellent info on restaurants/places to visit. Beaches are about 45 - 60 mins away - a good selection and nice for a day out. Retail outlets including Prada & Tod's also about 45 mins..!!

Ross provides excellent customer service and replies to any queries quickly. We are an all adult family and would certainly recommend the house. Perfect for a quiet holiday - unspoilt & not touristy.”

Wonderful place in the Italian countryside!

Thomas and families, Oslo Norway, 2010

Just came back after two weeks at this beautiful place. Highly recommended if you want to get away from city traffic and spend some time with no worries in the wonderful Italian countryside! Sunny days came and passed with trips to the beach, the small villages in the area and to the mountains near by.

We were two families traveling together, having one house each. The children loved the swimming pool! The local cuisine were tested in restaurants, as well as home cooking with local ingredients.

Thanks to the Winefield family for all the good service and information they provided and for letting out their place, and thanks to Luiciano (the farmer next door) for the bottle of home-made Vino Cotto anno 1998. Fantastic!”

Italy at his best

David and families, Berkshire UK, 2010

For a perfect holiday, the villa provided all we could have wished for: stunning views, rustic feel with modern facilities, luxurious linen, plenty to ensure an enjoyable stay whatever the weather or age group… In fact almost so good as to make us want to stay put rather than visit the stunning area.

The comprehensive information book Ross and Marie put together proved very useful and although we did not spot any porcupines, we found quills and saw the most amazing display of fireflies.

We would agree with the many recommendations we read, especially the excellent and amazingly priced local wine!”

AN ITALIAN JEWEL

Grant, Sarah, Emily, Annabel & William, Kent UK, 2009

We spent the last week of August ‘09 at Casa Tranquilla and it’s stunning. We travelled from Bologna taking the coastal road to Ancona then turning inland toward the mountains. Casa Tranquilla is set in the Sibillini mountain range near to the small town of San Ginesio, it’s fitted and equipped to the very highest of standards. The scenic views from the villa, the superb pool and the quiet, slow moving surroundings make it a perfect place to relax.

The nearby towns of Tolentino and San Ginesio are traditional and clean with restaurants, shops and interesting sites (the Ice Cream shop in Tolentino and Pizza in the square in San Ginesio were very popular with my lot).

Equip yourself with bottles of the local wine, fresh meat and produce then get the BBQ to cook it all as slowly as possible.”

family paradise

Karen and family, Surrey UK, 2009

We fell in love with this villa from the moment we arrived. It is set in the most beautiful location surrounded completely by the most amazing views. It may sound clichéd but we did feel we were in paradise. We stayed at the villa as two families and our family of four was in the ‘pool house’. This worked really well, giving each family a little bit of space. With both bedrooms having en-suite wet rooms, it was better equipped than we have in our own house.

The villa is set up for group entertaining and we enjoyed many fantastic meals at the outside BBQ table which seats fourteen. The villa is glorious - the whole place has been fitted out to the highest standards. If only we could capture it all and take it home!

I would recommend Casa Tranquilla for family groups with children over 4 years (any younger and you may worry about the pool area). If you are looking to get away from it all and relax this place is perfect.”

perfect girly weekend

Sally and friends, Surrey UK, 2009

This fantastic villa is in the most idyllic setting! Casa Tranquilla is a mix of modern and authentic Italian and manages a skillful balance between boutique hotel and feeling like being at home. The impressive pool has outstanding views that you could just sit and stare at all day. There are lots of DVDs and very comfortable sofas so we could chill very happily when the heat beat us inside.

The local town of San Ginesio has a couple of excellent bars and restaurants, and I know there are many touristy things to do in the area like ballooning and cycling and some excellent mountain walks, but we did not have time on this trip. The villa is literally equipped with everything you could think of so a great place any time of the year, either to escape to for a girls weekend or to go with the family for a long holiday. I highly recommend it!”

simply stunning

Shona and family, Surrey UK, 2008

“We had a fantastic family holiday, getting away from it all without sacrificing any home comforts. The villa is a sympathetic, contemporary conversion with a high level of attention to detail. All our needs were anticipated and catered for, while being surrounded by stunning countryside. It ticks every box for a get-away-from-it-all holiday.”

long Lazy Days

William and family, Kent UK, 2008

“For a relaxing break, Casa Tranquilla certainly lives up to its name; the peace and quiet here is only surpassed by the stunning panoramic views. The deck surrounding the swimming pool is just the best place to enjoy long lazy days, and with gin and tonic in hand, is the perfect spot for sun set watching. The farmhouse and annex are simply lovely, the whole place has a great homely feel. We had a super time here and could certainly stay a while longer, thank you very much for introducing us to this lovely corner of Italy.”
